Lasdrop Shaft Seals

Incorrect installation of Lasdrop shaft seals into a 300 SeaRay Weekender. To prevent disaster, shaft seals need pressurized water. Tapping of the water intake is not sufficient once the boat goes over a certain speed.

Bellows install.

Reattach the shaft.

Loosened clamp ring and uncompressed.

Clamp ring just touching the bellows.

Marking the position.

Compress the bellows 1/2 inch.
