R1100S Wiring Problems Upon closer inspection there are more problems with this R1100S. Some monkey got in there and pretended to do wiring ... this thing was a rolling short waiting to happen.
Oh well, looks like I have another boat-like project on my hands.
Wire to nowhere
Part of the lead went directly to the positive terminal on the battery WITHOUT A FUSE. The 2nd lead went DIRECTLY TO THE FRAME. Then the two were cut somewhere just below the handlebars. You can't see it in the picture but it wasn't a clean cut. This was a very serious short waiting to happen ...
