R1100S Wiring Problems Upon closer inspection there are more problems with this R1100S. Some monkey got in there and pretended to do wiring ... this thing was a rolling short waiting to happen.
Oh well, looks like I have another boat-like project on my hands.
Postive lead.
The positive lead of this mystery wire lead STRAIGHT TO THE BATTERY. Interestingly, it was just tied on there; no solder, no crimp, just kind of shoved in there, twisted a bit and covered up with electrical tape ... foreshadowing.
